- 10 oz. young asparagus
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese shredded
1Trim 1/2 inch off the bottom part of the asparagus stems. Discard.
Heat up a skillet on medium heat and add the olive oil. Saute the garlic until slightly browned before adding the asparagus. Toss with a spatula to combine well with the garlic.
Add salt and ground black pepper, to taste, stir to combine well with the asparagus. Add the Parmesan cheese to the top of the asparagus and immediately cover the skillet with its lid, let cook for about 1 minute, or until the cheese melts off a little bit. Dish out and serve immediately.
