Sauteed Cabbage is one of the easiest and most delicious cabbage recipes with garlic, juicy shrimp and shredded cabbage in a mouthwatering Asian sauce. A perfect and healthy side dish that pairs well with everything!
- 1 lb. cabbage core removed and cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 4 oz. peeled and deveined shrimp
- 1 heaping tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- salt to taste
1Trim off the bottom part of the cabbage. Remove the core. Cut the cabbage into chunky pieces.
2Add the cooking oil to a skillet on medium-high heat. Add the garlic and saute until they sizzle. Add the shrimp, stir fry with the garlic. Add the cabbage into the skillet, stir to mix well with the shrimp and garlic.
3Add the oyster sauce and water. Stir and cook until the cabbage wilts, softens and cooks through. Add salt to taste. Dish out and serve immediately.

This was delicious but I tripled the shrimp and removed them from the pan just when they turned pink and returned them once the cabbage was done along with the oyster sauce and only 1/4 cup water. Yummy!

I made this as a full meal, made brown rice, added a whole sliced onion, tripled he amount of garlic, 1 whole pound of 26-30 shrimp and 3 lbs of cabbage. For seasoning I used black garlic salt, and hot peppers to our taste which was hot.
