Sticky Honey Soy Chicken
One of my favorite dishes to make for my family is various kinds of baked chicken: ginger garlic baked chicken, baked Hoisin chicken, honey lemongrass baked chicken, and this amazing, moist, and super delicious baked honey soy chicken.
It’s one of the easiest chicken recipes ever, and everyone loves it.

Ingredients to Make Honey Soy Chicken
This Asian-flavored chicken recipe calls for very simple store-bought ingredients. These days, you don’t even have to go to Asian supermarkets or stores for Asian ingredients.
Sauces and condiments such as oyster sauce and sesame oil are widely available at the international food aisle, so you have every reason to whip up this amazing baked honey soy chicken for your family.

Cook’s Tips
The chicken is tender, juicy and bursting with the sweet and savory flavors of soy sauce and honey. For deeper flavors, I always add minced garlic and ginger to the chicken.
Both ginger and garlic infuse the chicken with pleasant aromas. The chicken is best served with steamed rice.

Pre-heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line the chicken on a tray lined with aluminium foil and bake for 40 minutes in the middle of the oven.

Or until the surface turn golden brown, slightly charred and the inside of the chicken thighs are cooked. Serve immediately.
Recipe Notes
You may cover the chicken with aluminum foil to prevent the surface from getting too dark. You can do that in the middle of baking the chicken, once the chicken surface has turned dark but the inside is still not cooked.
Thanks Rasa Malaysia! Love the terrific, delicious recipes.
Thanks Annette, you’re so sweet. :)
I am making this tomorrow. Is it really 12″ of ginger for 1 1/2 lbs of chicken? I just wanted to double check.
Thank you!
Yes.
i think it’s one 2-inch piece of ginger. 2 inches equivalent to 5cm.
Can I make these with chicken breast, cut larger than your chicken bites!, possibly one breast cut in to 4 pieces?
What approximately would the cook time be depending on the thickness and size?
Thank you so much as I love all your recipes.
Yes you can try! Let me know how it goes.
I am so glad I found your website. Have wanted to learn some Chinese cooking for many years. My father’s family come from Hong Kong but no one in the US at the time.
Now with your recipes I have learned several recipes. I have oriental groceries near me so I am able to get
the ingredients I need. Thank you do much..
